Backbuild Desktop

The mileage tracker on your phone. It records your drives in the background, attributes each one to the right car and the right set of books, and turns the result into a mileage log and a deduction you can hand to an accountant.
Signing In to Backbuild Miles Your account and the mileage history behind it: create an account in four steps, set up the two-factor method you cannot skip and store the ten recovery codes that get you back in, stay signed in between drives, reset a password you have forgotten, and understand why signing out protects your trips without stopping the recording. Working Your Backbuild Miles Trips List Review the drives the app captured, label their stops, give each one a vehicle and a classification, read any trip card at a glance, find the business trips that still need a purpose, open a trip to edit it, delete a drive that should not be there, and load the rest of your history. Adding a Past Trip in Backbuild Miles Enter a drive the app never recorded because the phone was flat or tracking was off: look up the start and end addresses, type when it began and ended, accept or override the estimated distance with your odometer, classify it and give a business trip its purpose, pick the vehicle, read every refusal the form can give you, keep your work when you leave the screen, and confirm the trip landed in your history. Reviewing a Trip in Backbuild Miles Open one drive and finish its record: the route and the times in the zone you drove them, the business, commuting or personal classification, the business purpose that substantiates a work journey, notes, tags and the vehicle, marking a trip reported so it can no longer be changed, returning it to your inbox or moving it to another entity, and deleting a drive that should never have been recorded. Clearing Your Backbuild Miles Trip Inbox The private list of every drive the app recorded before it belongs to anybody: confirming the stops it detected, splitting one drive across two businesses, tagging it, choosing a vehicle and a classification, filing it into the right entity, dismissing a capture that was never a journey, and reading the screen when a load fails. Splitting a Backbuild Miles Trip Into Several Jobs One stretch of driving is often several jobs. Cut a captured drive at the points where one job ended and the next began, check the segment preview before you commit, classify each segment into its own organization, and undo a split you got wrong while its segments are still unfiled. Merging Split Backbuild Miles Trips Back Together Recombine the segments of a split drive after they have been filed: where the control lives, why segments must be side by side, what blocks a merge (a reported segment, one already posted to your accounting records, a mismatched classification or vehicle) and how to clear each one. Teaching Backbuild Miles to Suggest Classifications Describe your working week and name the places that decide what a drive was for, so each captured trip arrives with a proposal and a reason attached: which signal wins when two disagree, why a rule never files anything on its own, where the rules are stored, and how often you are reminded to record an odometer reading. Your Vehicles in Backbuild Miles The vehicle registry behind your mileage log: register a car or truck with the name, use type and purchase price that decide which deduction methods stay open to you, read the status of everything you keep, record what each vehicle costs to run by category, and retire one you have sold without losing a mile of its history. Pairing Your Vehicle in Backbuild Miles Link a vehicle to your car's Bluetooth so every drive is attributed to the right one without touching the phone: choose the car's stereo from the devices your phone already knows, tell two identically named devices apart by their address, move a device between vehicles only after being told what that costs, and read the screen when Bluetooth is off or the Nearby devices permission is missing.
